Downtown Open - June 2016

Event Description
The Charleston Area Alliance will present the inaugural Downtown Open, a temporary putt-putt course setup along sidewalks, walkways and green spaces of Downtown Charleston Saturday, June 25 - Sunday, July 10. Each hole is customized with decor and obstacles by a business sponsor, resulting in a unique, one-of-a-kind miniature golf course.

The Go to Hale block party Saturday, July 25 will serve as the kick-off for Downtown Open and all putt-putt holes will be placed along Hale Street for this event.
Following Go to Hale, the Charleston Area Alliance will transport the golf holes to various spaces downtown where they will reside until Sunday, July 10.
Downtown Open is free to play and players are encouraged to bring their own putters. Course maps, scorecards and a select number of putters/golf balls will be available to borrow at select downtown merchants during their respective business hours. Click here for the Downtown Open Google map.
Successfully implemented by other downtown associations across the U.S., Downtown Open is a unique one-of-a-kind miniature golf course that enhances our mission of making Downtown Charleston even more economically vibrant, walkable and culturally alive.
