Tomorrow, our President and CEO Mara Campbell Boggs, along with her sister Lee Ann Haley, will serve as the Grand Marshals for the Mineral County Veterans Day Parade! We are so proud of the incredible service these women have provided to our country and the continued leadership they bring to their communities.
Mara will also serve as Emcee for the Veterans Day Parade in Charleston this Tuesday — what an honor to celebrate and recognize our veterans across West Virginia this week! ❤️💙Boyce-Houser American Legion Post 41 is excited to announce that Mara (Campbell) Boggs & Lee Ann (Campbell) Haley have accepted our invitation to serve as Grand Marshals for the 2025 Mineral County Veterans Day Parade, being held Saturday, November 08, 2025, in downtown Keyser.
🇺🇸Mara (Campbell) Boggs is a 1993 graduate of Keyser High School and is a US Army Veteran, having concluded her Service in the rank of Major. Ms. Boggs served as a Combat Engineer Officer and paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division and 1st Cavalry Division. She has received numerous military accolades, including the Bronze Star, Senior Jumpmaster Badge, and Combat Action Badge, as well as leadership awards such as the George C. Marshall Award. Notably, during her second deployment in Iraq in 2006-2007, she served as the first female commander of her unit within the 82nd Airborne Division. Under her command, her unit earned the Army’s annual award for ‘Best Engineer Unit in the Army’ and executed over 800 combat missions. Mara is a member of both the American Legion and VFW, and for several years served in the Office of Senator Joe Manchin.
🇺🇸 Lee Ann (Campbell) Haley is a 1996 graduate of Keyser High School and a US Army Veteran. She was an Army Aviation Officer, piloting the UH-60 Blackhawk Helicopter, and a Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division’s Combat Aviation Brigade. Ms. Haley deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Hurricane Katrina rescue efforts. Lee Ann left the military as a Captain. Her military awards include the Air Medal and the Combat Action Badge. She continues to support Veterans through various initiatives, including the Interagency Veterans Council (IVAC) as Director for Women Veterans Services and Policy, Operation Welcome Home, and the Friends of WVU Army ROTC (FOAR) Association. She also volunteers with the Vet-to-Vet program.

Today’s Leadership Kanawha Valley session took us to West Virginia International Yeager Airport - CRW where the class toured Marshall’s Aviation program, met Hercules and Ned, and learned about operations, partnerships, and growth for CRW. 🛫
The afternoon sessions featured sponsor Three Point Strategies and we heard from WV Tourism Secretary Chelsea Ruby, Charleston CVB and Kanawha Valley Tourism! We ended our day visiting the Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association for some dog walking. 🐾

What a beautiful afternoon in the great Town of Clendenin! 🤩 Today we helped cut the ribbon at the new Riverview Business Complex in the heart of downtown.
This event marks an important milestone for the community. The Riverview building—once devastated during the 2016 flood that destroyed much of downtown Clendenin—has been beautifully restored and reimagined as a vibrant hub for local business and opportunity. What was once a symbol of loss now stands as a testament to resilience, hard work, and hope for the future.
