The Coal River Group (CRG) is a non-profit established to help “Bring life back to the Coal Rivers”. The founders, Bill Currey and Bill Queen, established the volunteer non-profit organization in 2004. Join them in their mission to maintain the beauty of the Coal River and help bring new visitors and investments to our Region. Each year, they rally community support to deepen our impact—restoring habitats, improving water quality, expanding public access to the river, and promoting tourism to the area. Their beautiful headquarters is located on two acres they lease from the Kanawha Commission in the 100 acre Meadowood Park, near Tornado , WV. They also serve as a location for visitors to the Hatfield McCoys new Tornado Dirt Trax! Their River Center Headquarters is now open 7 days a week from 9 to 5!
