Earlier this week, during our Board of Directors meeting, we welcomed several new board members, and over the coming days we'll be introducing you to each of them.
We're kicking things off with a familiar face! Please join us in welcoming back Matt Bond, Market President of United Bank. Matt has been a dedicated supporter of the Charleston Area Alliance for many years, and we're excited to have him serving on our Board of Directors again. More about Matt below:
As Market President Matt is responsible for United's business development and day to day banking operations in the market. Matt started his career with United in 2008 after graduating from Wofford College in Spartansburg, South Carolina, with a bachelor's degree in Finance and Economics. After leaving to earn a law degree from the Charleston School of Law in Charleston, South Carolina, Matt returned to United in 2014 as a Special Assets Officer. In 2015, Matt transitioned back to commercial banking as United's Commercial Banking Department Head in Charleston, West Virginia.
As a Charleston, West Virginia, native Matt is committed to the economic and cultural vitality of West Virginia's capital city and the surrounding region.
