Downtown Streetfest Block Party Series Returns May 20

The Charleston Area Alliance will launch its Downtown Streetfest block party series, presented by City National Bank, at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, May 20 headlined by reggae and rock artist Shayar.
 
Set along Capitol Street, between Quarrier and Lee Streets, the block party features live music, interactive entertainment, food and drinks, kid’s activities and pop-up shops. Alcohol is available for purchase through a beverage sponsorship from Capitol Beverage Company and Spriggs Distribution Company
 
Tables and chairs are setup along the street for guests to enjoy take-away food from local restaurants, catch up with friends over some cold beverages and listen to the free live music. Downtown Streetfest is presented by sponsorship support from the Charleston Convention & Visitors Bureau, GAI Consultants, Tony the Tailor and the Kanawha County Public Library.
 
Downtown Streetfest are also scheduled for Saturday, July 22; Saturday, Aug. 26 and Saturday, Sept. 23 along Capitol Street.
