Demonstrating its ongoing commitment to the economic enrichment and empowerment of women in the Kanawha Valley, the Charleston Area Alliance is proud to announce its 2017 Elevations Professional Women’s Network panel of keynote speakers.

Presented with title sponsorship support from Dow Chemical, Elevations provides insights and ideas to enhance personal growth and professional development. The luncheon series includes keynote addresses by a diverse group of inspiring women including:
  • Dr. Anne Fischer, Charleston native and program manager at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), will discuss her journey to Department of Defense’s innovation agency and explore DARPA’s impact on our everyday lives Monday, June 26 at Embassy Suites.
  • Leah Curry, president of Toyota Motor Manufacturing West Virginia, Inc. (TMMWV), will share how she cultivated her own success in the male-dominated automotive industry and highlight the Buffalo manufacturing plant’s growth in West Virginia over the past 20 years Tuesday, Aug. 15 at the Charleston Marriott.
  • Bestselling Author Emily Bennington will introduce mindfulness at work, offering an understanding of the cause and effect relationship between what you think and what you do in – to effectively lead yourself and others Monday, Nov. 13 at the Charleston Marriott.
“Elevations is an opportunity for women from a wide variety of backgrounds and industries to come together and share ideas on career advancement and networking,” said Lesli Forbes, the Alliance’s vice president of marketing and development. “We are very excited to announce this year’s speakers, who represent the diverse interests valued by the Kanawha Valley’s professional women.
